Atlas of Switzerland – Print

Atlas of Switzerland – Print

The Atlas of Switzerland, the official Swiss National Atlas – was initiated in 1961 by a decision of the Swiss federal government, which bestowed the editorship on the Institute of Cartography of ETH Zurich. Within the period of 1965-1997, two editions in 13 deliveries with a total of 146 map tables, including 596 single maps, were completed.
This thematic Atlas presents the range of characteristic structures and modalities of Switzerland. Most of the maps are on a 1:500 000 scale, which suits the presentation of the numerous subjects, both those pertaining to the whole of Switzerland as well as those that are more regional. The maps are noteworthy, moreover, for the care with which they have been constructed and the high quality o their presentation.
